![]() Hijinks ensue as Finn and Jake attempt to convince BMO that they are indeed the real Finn and Jake and that BMO shouldn’t be scared. BMO assumes something has taken over Finn and Jake’s bodies and frightenedly jumps into the wall, then begins to adorably rock itself while listening to the song. When Finn and Jake don’t say anything in response, it asks why they aren’t talking and gets “the juice?” and “me too” signs as a response. It excitedly announces that it’s invited some bikini babes over to dance to its favorite song. BMO enters the episode after the wager has begun. Shh! begins with Finn and Jake deciding to see who can go longer without talking and only using a limited number of pre-prepared signs to communicate. ![]() But BMO is up to the task and never breaks character, using – to Jake’s alarm – a real gun to free Finn from Me-Mow’s capture and bring Me-Mow to justice. The episode takes a turn when disgraced assassin Me-Mow mistakes the wanted posters BMO created for its LARP for real wanted posters and actually attacks Finn while he plays as Jack Rabbit Johnson. ![]() One of the greatest lines BMO has in the series comes from this episode when Jake complains that BMO’s spurs hurt his horse’s back and BMO replies in a monotone: “horses do not talk.” This list will include both BMO-specific episodes and some which aren’t, but still include some of my favorite BMO moments that helped it carve out a place in my heart.īMO’s western outing introduces us to a bit of a mean streak in our tiny robot cowboy, or at least an extreme commitment to playing through its scenarios as seriously as possible.īMO begins the episode making special sentient sandwiches to bribe Jake into acting as a horse for the LARP, and we later learn that BMO has similarly bribed Finn with special sentient sandwiches and Neptr with a single Finn cake to take part as well. With BMO’s special episode of Adventure Time: Distant Lands already released on HBO Max in the US and hopefully to be released soon in the UK, I wanted to take a look back at some of the best BMO episodes in the original Adventure Time series. The little robot has all the capabilities of a smartphone (and more, as we know it can play VHS tapes), an incredible imagination, a sometimes concerningly intense commitment to its passions, and it shares my love for classic genre cinema. You can pick up the game for $2.BMO is easily one of my favorite characters from Adventure Time. There’s even an awesome photo booth where you can take pictures (or use pictures you’ve saved) and make them even more mathematical with AT themed character stickers. You can hire Finn and Jake to come kick baddie butt for you, Marcy can shred her axe and help you take photos faster, and Ice King can freeze enemies, giving you more time to snap them. You’ll get to explore lots of different areas of Ooo, like the Grass Lands (where Finn and Jake’s treehouse is), the Ice Kingdom, and more! There’s also awesome powerups you can purchase with the coins you collect in each level. You also have a health meter, and if you don’t shoot the pictures quickly enough, the holograms will explode and you’ll lose health. Each character also has a life bar above their head, indicating how many more snapshots you’ll need to take before they disappear. If you’ve played Bigfoot Hunter, you’ll notice a few differences in BMO Snaps! There’s a helpful radar at the bottom of the screen that lets you know where the holograms are hiding. Be quick though, some of the holograms require you to take multiple shots of them before they disappear, and others are super fast and don’t stay in frame long. You can move the camera by touching the screen OR by using your phone screen old school style as a camera viewfinder. When you see a character you want to take a picture of, move the camera over to them so they’re in frame, and then tap the camera button to snap. ![]() ![]() Puncha Yo Buns!Įach level contains hologram forms of your favorite Adventure Time characters (and their voices!) running wild and generally being a pain in the butt. You can view the Holopedia at anytime to hear about the history of each character, like how Finn used to be a buff baby. Each photo you snap will be sucked out of the universe and trapped forever inside PB’s Holopedia, which is actually just NEPTR. Oh No! Princess Bubblegum accidentally got her hair stuck in the hologram machine and let an army of evil holograms loose in the Candy Kingdom! Now it’s up to you to capture them using BMO’s camera. ![]()
